Clinical support for everyday screening

The comparison between naked-eye clinical examination and autofluorescence examination with GOCCLES confirmed high sensitivity in identifying precancerous and cancerous lesions compared with visual inspection alone. In practice, autofluorescence can highlight areas of tissue alteration that, in the early stages, may not show clear clinical signs or may be difficult to distinguish through observation alone. Integrated into the clinical workflow, this additional assessment helps clinicians better focus attention on suspicious areas and supports a more timely diagnostic workup and follow-up pathway.
